Introducing FlowX on AppExchange

Salesforce Flow provides a solid foundation for no-code automation, but it lacks some practical tools that administrators and developers often require. We built FlowX to provide those missing pieces, helping teams create cleaner, more adaptable flows without turning to custom code.

FlowX gives Salesforce administrators and developers essential Flow extensions that remove limitations and save time. With FlowX, you can build better automations faster with no custom code required.

The Problems FlowX Solves

Standard Flow gets the job done for straightforward tasks, but it falls short in a few key areas that lead to extra work:

  • Picklists in Screen Flows are static. Filtering options by object, field, or record type often means building complex logic or hardcoding values. This can clutter screens and lead to user errors.

  • Collections can contain duplicates. When data comes from multiple sources, the same records or values may appear multiple times, causing inaccurate processing unless they are cleaned manually.

  • Numbered loops require workarounds. Generating simple sequences like 1–10 for repeated actions usually involves extra variables and assignments.

These issues mean more time spent on fixes and less on actual business logic.

What FlowX Adds on Top of Standard Features

FlowX layers on utilities that address those gaps directly:

  • Dynamic Picklists in Screen Flows – FlowX lets you display Salesforce picklist fields inside Screen Flows with context-aware filtering. Options can be filtered by Object, Field, and Record Type, so users only see relevant values.

  • Remove Duplicates – keep Flow collections clean and accurate with built-in deduplication. FlowX includes an action that removes duplicate values from Flow collections. It works dynamically during Flow execution, ensuring that unique records or values are processed without manual filtering or complex loops

  • Generate Number Sequences – create simple numeric lists [1..N] for indexed loops and repeat operations. This makes it easy to run indexed or repeated actions without building custom variable logic.

It’s a 100% declarative solution, empowering admins to extend Flow functionality without writing Apex. FlowX boosts Flow flexibility by addressing common limitations, such as missing loop controls or duplicate handling.

How FlowX Makes Automation Easier, Smarter, and More Flexible

FlowX also saves development time with prebuilt, reusable actions and a plug-and-play setup. Just install and start using it immediately; no additional configuration is needed.

Here’s how it works in everyday scenarios

For dynamic picklists: Instead of showing long, static dropdowns, the Dynamic Picklist component displays only the values that match the current context. For example, a support flow can show different field options depending on the selected record type. This keeps screens cleaner and reduces unwanted selections.

For removing duplicates When a Flow builds a collection from multiple sources, duplicate values can appear. FlowX removes those duplicates automatically during runtime, so each record or value is processed only once. This prevents issues like double assignments, repeated emails, or inconsistent updates.

Some Flows need structured repetition, such as creating multiple records or applying numbered labels. FlowX generates a numeric collection that can be used in a loop, avoiding complex variable setups. This makes repetitive tasks easier to build and reuse.

These features cut down build time and make flows more reliable for changing needs.

Who is FlowX For?

FlowX is aimed at Salesforce administrators and developers who handle flows regularly and want to skip the custom workarounds. It’s especially useful for:

  • Operations, sales, and service teams

  • Orgs working with large or mixed data sources

  • Teams that need to adjust automations quickly and reliably

If your Flows are growing in complexity, FlowX helps keep them simple and predictable.
